Kerry McDowell

Dance Teacher - Street, Commercial and Heels

My name is Kerry and my love for dance started when I was three years old. I started off in a small studio in Banbridge where I competed in festivals and carried out exams under the British Theatre and dance Association. When I was sixteen I was apart of the Belfast Giants Cheerleading squad where we performed every weekend in the odyssey arena. Furthermore, in my school years I was appointed head choreographer of our school production of Grease the musical. At 20 I headed to Manchester to take my training more full time and trained at Shockout Arts for 2 consistent years in Professional and Commercial dance. Here I studied commercial, jazz, jazz funk, contemporary, ballet and musical theatre elements. My training was very diverse so I could be most equipped for the industry. Throughout the years I have also had the opportunity to work on performing jobs in night events and also corporate performances with companies such as Peter Corry Productions. I am also signed by agent Shelly Lowry here in Northern Ireland. All of the knowledge I have gained through my own training, I am now pleased to pass it on to younger performers and artists.
